Correct operation of charging new energy vehicles

Jan 14,2025

The correct operation for charging new energy vehicles is as follows:

1. Preparation stage:

Park the new energy vehicle safely in the parking space and ensure that the vehicle is in good condition.

Open the charging port cover of the vehicle, check for any foreign objects or water stains inside the charging port, and keep it dry and clean.

Choose the appropriate charging method based on the actual situation, such as home charging stations, public charging stations, or portable charging guns.

2. Charging operation:

If using a household or public charging station, unplug the charging gun from the charging station and insert it into the corresponding charging interface of the vehicle.

Confirm that the charging gun is securely connected to the charging port. When the charging port displays a green or blue light or the charging station indicator light starts flashing, it indicates that charging has started normally.

You can view the current charging status information, including charging speed, charging time, etc., through the charging station display screen or car screen.

If using a portable charging gun, insert the plug end of the charging gun into a three hole socket, and then insert the tip of the charging gun into the vehicle's AC charging port, which is generally plug and play.

3. End charging:

When charging is completed or needs to be stopped halfway, first operate the stop charging button on the charging station display screen or the car screen to confirm that charging has stopped.

After waiting for a few seconds, unplug the charging gun and check if the charging gun and charging port are damaged or abnormal.

Insert the charging gun back into the charging station or return it to its original position, and close the vehicle charging port cover.

Clean the charging area to ensure there are no debris or water stains.

Note: During charging, avoid charging in harsh environments such as sunshine, rainstorm and typhoon to ensure charging safety. At the same time, plan the charging and discharging time reasonably to avoid excessive charging and discharging, in order to extend the service life of the battery.
