1. Ovulation bleeding: During the menstrual cycle, some women may experience a small amount of brown bleeding during ovulation, which is usually caused by a brief decrease in estrogen levels leading to the shedding of the endometrium. The amount of bleeding is generally small and the duration is short, which is different from normal menstruation.
2. Cervical problems: Cervical diseases such as cervicitis, cervical polyps, or precancerous lesions of the cervix may cause brown discharge or slight bleeding during non menstrual periods. These conditions are usually accompanied by other symptoms, such as bleeding after sexual intercourse, abnormal vaginal discharge, etc.
3. Intrauterine problems such as endometritis, uterine fibroids, endometriosis, etc. may also cause non menstrual brown bleeding. These diseases may affect the normal growth and shedding of the endometrium, leading to irregular bleeding. Taking certain medications (such as birth control pills), intrauterine devices, early pregnancy, or threatened miscarriage may also cause similar symptoms.
