How to adjust high facial cheekbones

Jan 16,2025

The height of facial cheekbones can be adjusted in the following three ways:

1. Non surgical methods

Makeup: Using localized makeup techniques such as using shadow powder or highlighter powder to visually adjust the height of cheekbones, or using hairstyles to cover high cheekbones.

Fat filling: If the tissue around the cheekbone is sunken, fat filling can be used to make the surrounding tissue plump, thereby visually reducing the height of the cheekbone.

Massage: Regularly massaging the area around the cheekbones may help improve facial blood circulation and reduce muscle tension, but the effect is relatively limited.

2. Laser beauty methods

Laser cosmetic surgery: Using laser technology to irradiate the skin to improve its texture and shape, which may have a certain visual adjustment effect on the height of the cheekbones, but the specific effect varies from person to person.

3. Surgical method

Zygomatic inward push surgery: Through an intraoral approach, the zygomatic bone and arch are cut off, and then the zygomatic area is moved inward and fixed to reduce the height of the zygomatic bone. This is a relatively thorough improvement method, but the surgical risks and trauma are high, and the recovery time is long.

Zygomatic reduction surgery: suitable for patients with anterior lateral protrusion of the face. Through an intraoral incision, the zygomatic bone is separated and exposed under the periosteum, and then special instruments are used to chisel off and thin the part of the zygomatic bone to be removed, thereby reducing the outer contour of the face. This surgical method also requires a longer recovery time.

When choosing a method to adjust cheekbone height, comprehensive consideration should be given to individual circumstances, needs, and risk tolerance. If necessary, please consult a professional doctor or plastic surgeon.
