How to disassemble and add liquid to electric vehicle batteries

The steps for disassembling and refilling electric vehicle batteries are as follows:

1. Preparation and disassembly: Preparation tools: Phillips screwdriver, cloth, medical syringe, distilled water. Remove the battery pack of the electric vehicle from the car and disconnect the connecting wires between the batteries. Wipe the surface of the battery clean with a cloth to remove dust and dirt. Find the exhaust hole on the battery cover, usually located on the edge of the top cover, with a notch as a marker. Align the notch with a straight screwdriver, gently tap the screwdriver head into the exhaust hole, then lift it up and continue tapping until the battery cover is safely lifted down.

2. Opening the lid and adding liquid: After opening the lid, be careful not to completely remove it at once. Instead, slowly remove it and cover it with your hand to prevent the rubber cap from flying off or the liquid from splashing out due to excessive pressure inside the battery. There are usually 6 liquid filling holes inside the battery. Carefully remove the rubber cap and keep the white absorbent cotton. Use a medical syringe to draw an appropriate amount of distilled water, usually adding about 5ml per well. The specific amount can be determined according to the battery model and instructions. Ensure that each hole is in place.

3. Sealing and installation: After adding the liquid, cover the rubber cap back to ensure good sealing. The absorbent cotton should also be restored to its original state. Cover and secure the battery cover to ensure it is tight and leak free. Reconnect the battery pack and install it back onto the electric vehicle.

Protective gloves and glasses should be worn during operation to prevent liquids from splashing into the eyes or skin. At the same time, it is necessary to ensure that the battery is in a non working state and avoid adding liquid during charging or discharging. If the battery is severely aged or damaged, it is recommended to replace it directly with a new battery instead of attempting to repair it with liquid.
