The size of a laptop is mainly measured by the diagonal length of its screen, and varies according to different usage needs and market positioning. Common laptop screen sizes include but are not limited to the following:

1. 11 inches and below: Laptops of this size are usually very portable and suitable for users who need to carry them out frequently. However, due to the small screen size, it may not be suitable for long-term high-intensity use or complex graphic processing work.

2. 12 inches to 13 inches: This size of laptop strikes a good balance between portability and performance, making it suitable for daily office, study, and light entertainment use. Many ultrabooks and business laptops use screens of this size.

3. 14 inches: This is currently one of the most popular laptop sizes on the market, as it strikes a perfect balance between portability, performance, heat dissipation, and visible area. Whether for office, study, or entertainment, a 14 inch laptop can provide an excellent experience.

4. 15 inches and above: Laptops of this size typically have larger screens and more powerful performance, making them suitable for users who need high-performance applications such as graphic design, video editing, and gaming. However, due to its large size, portability may be affected to some extent.

There are also some special-purpose laptops, such as workstation laptops and gaming laptops, which may adopt larger screens (such as 17 inches and above) to provide better visual experience and performance.

Screen size is not the only criterion for measuring the size of a laptop. In addition to the screen size, factors such as the thickness, weight, and border width of the laptop also need to be considered. These factors collectively determine the portability and comfort of a laptop.

When choosing a laptop, it is recommended to choose the appropriate size and configuration based on your own usage needs and budget. If you need to carry it out frequently, you can choose a smaller size ultrabook; If you need high-performance applications or a better visual experience, you can consider choosing a larger sized laptop.
