Guangzhou Automobile Group continues to carry out research and development work on graphene batteries, and has conducted preliminary verification at multiple levels such as battery cells, modules, and vehicle installation.
Guangzhou Automobile Group has improved the conductivity of electrode materials through the preparation technology of three-dimensional structured graphene, and enhanced the rate performance and thermal stability by coating ceramic membranes and new high-power electrolytes.
2. Performance characteristics:
Guangqi graphene based super fast charging battery can achieve 80% full charge in 8 minutes, with a range of 200~300 kilometers after 10 minutes of charging, and a charging speed comparable to refueling.
This battery technology has a high voltage platform, can be quickly charged, and brings high range.
Efficient heat dissipation design ensures that the battery operates within a safe temperature range.
3. Mass production and application:
Guangzhou Automobile Group had planned to push graphene battery technology to actual vehicle production testing by the end of 2020, but the specific production time still needs to wait for the results of actual vehicle verification.
Guangzhou Automobile Group has carried out actual vehicle testing of graphene based super fast charging batteries as planned, and is expected to be installed on existing models of Guangzhou Automobile Aion.
However, the popularization of graphene batteries relies on the release of national standards related to super fast charging and the construction progress of high-power supercharging equipment.
