There are three ways to preserve tomato sauce:
1. Sealed storage in glass bottles: Select glass bottles that can be completely sealed, and ensure that the bottle and cap are free of oil and water. Before use, they can be disinfected by hot water washing. Put the prepared tomato sauce into a glass bottle while it is hot, leaving a gap of about 1cm. Drop a small amount of high Baijiu or lemon juice to increase the preservation effect. Quickly tighten the bottle cap to ensure a good seal. If necessary, an additional 1-2 layers of cling film can be applied and the bottle cap can be tightened. After cooling, it can be stored in a cool and ventilated place or refrigerated.
2. Refrigerated storage: Put tomato sauce into a clean container, seal it, and directly place it in the refrigerator compartment. Be careful to avoid mixing with other foods to prevent cross contamination. Refrigeration can slow down the rate of spoilage, but it should be consumed as soon as possible after opening, and it is recommended to consume it within one month.
3. Freezing storage: For tomato sauce that is not consumed in large quantities or for a long time, freezing storage can be chosen. It also needs to be placed in a sealed container to prevent air and moisture from entering. Freezing can significantly extend the shelf life, but the taste may change slightly after thawing. Thawing should be done slowly to avoid excessive moisture affecting the taste.
Regardless of the storage method used, the cleanliness and hygiene of the container or packaging should be ensured to prevent the entry of air and bacteria. At the same time, regularly check the storage status and immediately deal with any signs of deterioration.
