What areas need to be inspected for new energy vehicle inspection

Jan 03,2025

When inspecting new energy vehicles, it is necessary to focus on the following aspects:

1. Vehicle appearance and interior: Check the body for scratches, dents, and even paint, paying special attention to vulnerable areas such as the front and rear bumpers and door edges. Check whether the windows, doors, hood and other components are intact and whether the switches are smooth. Enter the car and check if there are any damages or stains on the interior parts such as the seats, steering wheel, dashboard, and if the seat adjustment system is functioning properly.

2. Vehicle functions and equipment: Check whether the audio, air conditioning, heating, speakers and other electrical equipment are working properly, and whether the volume and temperature adjustments are accurate. Test whether electric devices such as electric windows, electric rearview mirrors, and sunroofs run smoothly without any lagging or abnormal noise. Check whether the various instruments on the dashboard are complete and effective, and the pictographic patterns should be accurately understood and easy to identify.

3. Chassis and power system: If possible, raise the vehicle to check the chassis for scratches, oil leaks, or rust. Check the cleanliness of the engine compartment, whether the coolant, brake oil, etc. are sufficient and there is no leakage. For the unique parts of new energy vehicles, such as battery packs, motors, etc., their appearance should be checked for integrity, no damage or abnormal noise.

4. Accompanying documents and certificates: Check if the accompanying documents are complete, including the vehicle's factory certificate of conformity, vehicle consistency certificate, Chinese user manual for the product, product warranty and maintenance manual, and "three guarantees" certificate for household automotive products. Verify whether the chassis number, power number, manufacturing date, and other information on the vehicle certificate of conformity match the actual condition of the vehicle.

5. Driving experience and testing: Get on the car for actual driving experience, test the acceleration, braking performance, and steering stability of the vehicle. Check whether the electrolytic lock and starting system on the vehicle are normal, and whether there is any abnormal shaking or noise during driving. Pay special attention to the range and charging condition of electric vehicles, and check whether the charging gun, spare tire, tools, and other accompanying accessories are complete.

6. Other precautions: Check the production date of the vehicle to avoid purchasing inventory vehicles. Check the production dates of the glass and tires to ensure they match the vehicle's production date. If the car was not picked up at the time, it is recommended to take a photo of the identification code on the lower left side of the front windshield of the vehicle to preserve it in case the vehicle is replaced.

The above information is for reference only. The specific inspection process may vary depending on the vehicle model, brand, and purchase channel. During the vehicle inspection process, it is recommended that consumers remain attentive and patient to ensure that all indicators of the purchased new energy vehicle meet the requirements.
