New energy vehicle charging does not display current

Jan 02,2025

There may be several reasons why the charging of new energy vehicles does not display current:

1. Battery and charging status: If the battery is low or not fully charged, the charging station may not be able to detect sufficient power and display the current. The battery may be aging or damaged, causing it to be unable to receive charging current properly.

2. Charging station and connection issues: The charging station itself may have faults, such as controller failure or display screen malfunction, resulting in the inability to display current information normally. The connection between the charging station and the vehicle may not be secure or loose, resulting in abnormal current transmission. At this point, you can try restarting the charging station and reconnecting the vehicle.

3. Charging equipment and electrical circuits: The charger of new energy vehicles may be damaged, or the capacitors in the charging circuit may be lost or damaged, or the wires connecting to the battery may break, resulting in the inability to charge normally even if the charger indicator light is on. Insufficient charging current may be caused by various electrical circuit faults, such as slipping of the generator V-belt, poor contact of the charging circuit, poor contact between the brush and the collector ring, local short circuit of the armature winding, open circuit or local short circuit of the stator winding, and poor operation of the voltage regulator. When the charging current is too low, the charging station may not be able to display or only display a lower current value.

The above information is for reference only and cannot fully cover all possible reasons. In practical operation, if encountering the problem of new energy vehicle charging not displaying current, it is recommended to contact professional after-sales service or technical personnel for troubleshooting and maintenance.
